Um, what is the purpose of CC HS Life?

I never got that.

It should be shut down.

(According to legend) It used to be a place where people asked serious questions about being in High School. At a certain point it just became a random message board dedicated to high school students (analogous to the Parent Cafe) and the post counts also stopped counting.

I guess it’s just a place where we can get away from the craziness of the “what are my chances?” boards.

To preach the good word. And yes, it now has no modern applicability like it purportedly used to.

When I joined CC, HSL was actually a useful resource… =(
Now it’s a complete and utter waste of time lol

^ Same here. I like the fact that it actually has humor in the dark world of CC. :D

What was HSL like in the Glory Days?

Actually helpful.

I wouldn’t call it it’s “glory days”, as much as I’d call it the “actually productive, when posts counted” hsl.

We’re living the Glory Days right now, Dunbar.

I’m a noobie, and I happen to enjoy HSL. It’s my home inside a home, if you know what I mean.

i agree, HSL used to be helpful like 3-4 years ago

Lol? September 08? I wouldn’t say it was productive then…

When I joined (about 3 months before you did) it was only a bit productive IMO, but it was still chill then and it kept going more lax/unrelated to real topics/etc (with mass infusions of ballers like AOM here and then)…

No offense, AoM was a pretty chill guy, but he led to the destruction of HSL =(

Remember the influx of random new people like awhile ago? People like Spruce (love her) and some others?

And I agree Invoyable, when I first joined a month after you, it was only slightly more productive than now. I guess I wasn’t here earlier enough. Now its just the water cooler for HS kids on CC. :P

ETA: Oh, and I remember when posts still counted here. I would have well into the 500-600+ by now -__-;

it’s a place where smart kids can hang out with each other

^albeit through the interwebz

Hmmm, I went and looked at page 1056 to see what posts where like back in the day. Most seemed to be ‘productive’ posts that would help us in high school, but I see no problem with it now. It’s actually pretty enjoyable now. Sometimes posts make me laugh, and sometimes I find the posts intresting.

I like what Jazrie481 said

eh even saying that is a stretch, but then again I never really needed help with the basics.

I’ve said this before, but HSL/cafe/etc would be so much better if there was less regulation by the mods. Putting stars in place of profanity is rather childish, and posting pictures adds an important nuance in posting style.

I remember when there were “homework help” questions. That was helpful
