Has anyone seen a delay in the portal updating after you receive the admit package? We’re trying to sign up for the minuteman-for-a-day but SPIRE won’t allow until the portal updates with admit.
Has no one in RD pool received a decision yet? I’m an RD applicant (applied on Dec. 29th though) and OOS. (International student) How does UMass send admission notification? Is it ground mail notification 100%? Have no idea…
@keikikyrag I was a regular decision. I applied super early though, very beginning of October.

It is so hard to wait! I’m really happy we found this resource. Our daughter applied at the deadline, in state, and this is our first time at the rodeo as she is our oldest. I really do appreciate everyone posting here!
Waiting on RD, expected to hear back from now but I guess mail is just taking a long time? Hope I hear back within the next week!
@halsnobordrgrl my D was also deferred and I am really hoping she gets in and not wait listed. She will go to UB University at Buffalo if she doesn’t get into UMASS, but it really is her number 1 choice. Her GPA was on the low side (3.2) but her junior year she ended with a 3.4 and this year she is at 3.6. She has a million EC’s and a solid essay and 2 great recs. Fingers crossed!!! It is definitely harder this year than all other years to get in. If she gets wait listed we are putting a deposit down at UB but willing to lose it for the wait list.

Also wanted to say that my spire changed today from “Deferred to regular decision” to “under review” as it previously said when I applied early!

Same here. I applied RD very early on in-state. I’ve heard that they had some changes in the admissions office this year and responses are a bit delayed.
@keikikyrag I can’t believe you got deferred with those stats. I know many people who got in with much less.

Are decsions also posted online or are they only snail mailed?
@Caramel101 the decisions are posted online. You will receive an email notification when your decision has been posted. I applied on Jan 15 and saw my decision on Feb 21 online.
@Klossy I applied Jan 1 and haven’t heard anything, but maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. Can you attach a link of where I can check?
