UMass Amherst Class of 2025 Early Action

@mm5678 Me too! We called it ZooMass and it was known as a big party school. It was my safety and I remember getting a letter in the mail 2 weeks after I applied that said I was accepted. LOL. I ended up at BU, never even visited the Umass campus. So much has changed now, glad to see it’s a very respectable state school now1

Didn’t get any status update today. Hope it doesn’t mean I didn’t get a scholarship if I was accepted.

I didn’t submit any scores as I didn’t have a chance to take an SAT. Got accepted for Psych.

Did you just got the notification? Is there a point to keep checking at this point- 6:15pm? Thanks!

Admitted. I’m in-state.

Looking at Communications/Psychology. That may change. We’ll see.

3.9 GPA (unweighted). Didn’t take the standardized tests. (Can’t stand those things. Jumped on the test-optional bandwagon the moment they announced it.) Wasn’t admitted to the Honors College, but as I suspect that’s mostly a marketing gimmick designed to attract out-of-staters, my feelings aren’t hurt. Too much.

First college I’ve heard from. But the value is high. The location is great. The offerings, academic and extra-curricular, close to unbeatable. I’m thinking this might be the place.

Seems like lots of Isenberg acceptances amongst our friends!

Anybody hear from the Communications program at the College of Social & Behavioral Science?

Based on the results so far it is hard to establish a pattern or criteria for decisions. Seems to be random.

Anyone know if you needed to fill out FAFSA to get merit?

I’m not sure, but we always fill out fafsa, even though our kids aren’t going to get FA.

No need to fill out FAFSA for merit. It is only for need-based aids.

Anyone else not hear anything back yet?
