Any CS acceptances till now?
Submitted my application by the beginning of the last week of October and have received numerous emails about batches and still nothing. I have been checking the portal twice or three times a day. Applied for in-state kinesiology which appears to have come out today. Is it time to accept that it’s not happening?
yep. accepted today
I applied for CS, no acceptance for me yet!
not sure if this is place for this but what are your thoughts on Umass in general?
Not at all! UMass has said many times that they are sending out acceptances in waves every week in January. They said it is random. Some accepts, some deny and some waitlist in each batch. If you don’t hear this week, that doesn’t mean you won’t be accepted.
I applied for CS and haven’t heard anything yet.
Accepted! Finally I am soooo relieved.

She is so excited! Had to cancel plans to visit last spring, but will do so this spring to make final decision.
Has anyone heard of a more “average” student getting accepted? GPA-3.4/3.5, good EC’s, job, and strong essay?? UMass is a “Reach” school for my S, so was just curious if anyone has heard of a student like this being accepted. Thanks!
Sounds like my boy! Bio, In state, 8 APs, 4 year athlete, 4 honor societies, service, job, 32 ACT, 4.0 unweighted, CHC and 2000 dean’s scholarship.
My daughter was accepted last night. In state uw gpa of 3.63
i think those are very competitive GPAs for Umass… All the best to him
do we think more decisions will be released today?
Unless something changed from last year-usually for instate no merit $ unless you qualify for Scholarship based on MCAS/district scores (just tuition- no fees) so its minimal. Out of state gets merit $
FA/cost should come separately as long as you filled out the FASA
Hello my daughter was admitted EA. No SAT/ACT scores and a 3.7 GPA. She has moved this school to her top two. However, the financial aid package may push us out., I have twins and am a 64 yr old retired teacher. They say I can aford $53,000 a year just for her. Not sure how to navigate thje tuition. I swear I did somethign wrong on my FAFSA and CSS.
I think they are offering $2k for instate students but I’m not sure if that’s for honors college. The financial aid just came for me two days ago and I got admitted Dec. 23rd. It will be on Spire and you should get an email saying there is an update.
Yes my daughter got $2000 in state and will get the $1704 from Adams Scholarship (which is based on MCAS scores)
