<p>Drug addiction is a disease, and they offered NO help. If he was bleeding profusely, would they have placed a pen in his bloody hand and coerced an agreement?? Unconscionable action by UMass police.</p>

<p>I strongly disagree with this. I know more young people that smoke pot than don’t. I’d say only one or two of them know people who deal heroine. </p>
<p>Turning addicts into “informers” is a disgusting policy IMO. It’s a further argument for legalization. It’s a heartbreaking story that never should’ve happened. </p>

<p>Those kids who buy and smoke pot may not know where to buy heroin. But the person they buy their pot from probably knows–or knows who does know.</p>
