UMASS Amherst Fin Aid?

<p>I'm feeling pretty hopeless right now. I received my acceptance packet for UMASS Amherst's nursing program but I didn't get a merit scholarship (at least nothing in the folder said I did). Does any one know anything about UMASS's financial aid? I've heard that they aren't very generous. My family EFC is 5163. My parents' gross income is 89k and I have two siblings living at home who are dependents, one of which is commuting to UMASS. We can't afford the 20k tuition (for me) without help and we're barely affording to send my sister there.</p>

<p>I can say in general that given your EFC, they will probably give you something. But you are probably looking at having to take loans, the size of which is dependent on what your family can pay.</p>
