if accepted, can I live in SW or is it competitive to get housing there?
I have a question that you don’t have to answer. Why do you want to live in a zoo? Are you drawn to the ridiculous 24/7 partying? It can’t be a very academic environment. There were riots after the Super Bowl, I think.
@as1799 why wouldn’t you want to live in southwest? Best social scene, good central location, largest rooms
@jackoneill because I don’t define “social scene” as day drinking on a Wednesday. And it’s close to Isenberg, not really anything else
@as1799 it’s near a bunch of the dining halls and there is always something to do. I want to study Finance anyways. So that’s why I want to live there
5000 kids live in Southwest. Probably not very tough to get a room there!
I don’t think the distractions can help. The question is whether they hurt. For some, they might. I am very happy that my daughter decided on Orchard Hill. She loves it there and there and the social life is good. Maybe Southwest works for people who have the ability not to be distracted and can ignore it.
You should have no trouble getting into SW. It is a fairly large section of housing and is close to the athletic fields. A great place to live. Always things going on and never boring. I lived in JA on the 17th floor with a great view.
Good luck.
