I was put in Queen Anne’s Hall for the upcoming year. I was hoping someone could tell me everything they knew about Queen Anne’s Hall (room size, amenities, etc.)
Any help is appreciated.
Lucky you! Nice dorm (old building but renovated relatively recently so interior new), a/c and great location smack in center of campus (near McKeldin library)
Also, here is how to find a general sense of your room…
If you go to the page with your hall http://reslife.umd.edu/halls/north_hill/queen_anne/ and scroll to the very bottom of the page, you will see a diagram below the google map. On the left is an image of a “typical room layout” and on the right is the “typical traditional floor.” You can click on each diagram for more details. The room layout shows photos that are not specific to that dorm, but in general. They are helpful to show you the type of furniture to expect and possible layouts you can do.
The diagram on the right, “typical traditional floor,” is specific to that dorm. If you click on it, it will pop up with a blow up of the ground floor layout (note it is L-shaped so move your cursor around to see all aspects), and you will note that there are blue arrows to the right of where it says “Queen Anne’s Ground Floor”…click on the arrows for a drop down menu. Select your floor, and you will see exactly where your room is in relation to the elevators, stairs, etc…so you will see if you have a corner room and the size of your room relative to other rooms on the floor. Unfortunately, there are no dimensions given, but it’s enough info to give you a sense.
Hope this helps.
