@dmvncv I’ve never heard of any colleges releasing decisions that aren’t in the late afternoon. I think they generally try to avoid releasing them during school hours. I can only imagine how disruptive it would be late March/early April
has anyone without the dining agreement posted stats or know of anyone’s stats that doesn’t have it? Could be helpful
Are there any OOS applicants who have the housing agreement thing? so far i only see instate…
@itstheruch i am OOS with the housing agreement. 3.3 UW 31 ACT
If the decisions come out tomorrow afternoon, should we expect letters to come in the mail tomorrow, or the following day?
@itstheruch I am OOS and have the Housing/Dining link. 3.5 UW GPA. SAT: 650 CR 590 M
Lower test scores but I’m a veteran and we don’t even have to submit them.
Do we get notifications by email? Where do we check our decisions?
@TodaysEinstein You’ll get an email telling you to check your application portal, apparently.
@Scuderi Extremely easy. Just email the registrar/one of your dept’s advisors (you can find their contact info online) once you get in!
OSS- 2250 (2300 Superscored) SAT (1520/1600), 4.1 weighted, 3.65 unweighted- I have it.
OSS (international, in fact)
1490 R+M (750 R, 740 M)
3.66 GPA
Application wasn’t marked “completed” until early~mid December because of a mix-up with teacher recs (which I’ve emailed the administration about and didn’t really get an answer). I was pretty sure I’d be deferred/rejected because of that, but I have the housing link nonetheless.
Does anyone suppose that people might just get access to the housing link at different times, and that everyone eventually gets it? Is there anyone who didn’t have the housing link for a while, but got it later (say, in the past few hours or so…)?
Have the housing agreement. I’m OOS. Here’s my stats.
Go to a well-regarded public school.
SAT: 1300/1600 (670 M 630 CR)
ACT: 30
3.84 UW GPA
Kinda of on the fence on getting accepted according to UMD’s stats but looking at Naviance graphs of past applicants’ scores from my school I’m a shoe-in. Good luck to everyone!
OOS - have housing link - applied Clark
34 ACT - 3.86 (UW) 4.76 (W)
Today might be the day everyone. Just got the email: classes are on time. Admissions is coming to work. No delay due to snow.
@7xhopeful, wow, kinda hard to say exactly…it’s been a while. I am OOS and think it was maybe about 4-5 days after? Understand that it is going via bulk mail compared to regular first class mail, so it’s a little slower. I seem to remember that IS students said it arrived within a day or two of it appearing online, and some living very close to the university may have even gotten it that same day (that’s why I said they put letters in the mail first before pushing the send button to notify people online). The letter itself was actually dated a few days prior (Jan 27); my son’s year was released online on the 31st.
Best of luck to everyone.
I have the housing link, ACT: 35, UW: 3.80, W: 4.51, However I believe that it is a glitch. As for @korboy, regardless of when you turned it in, the actual date the application it completed keeps on changing. I applied November 1st, application said it was completed on December 25th, and kept on changing until it reached January 17th. As long as the application says completed now, you’ll be fine.
@srujant, I am aware that the date of completion continuously shifts. What I should’ve stated was that my application status was literally marked “INCOMPLETE” until early December, when the school notified me that my recs were mixed up and updated my app status, but didn’t really tell me whether or not I’d still be considered for priority.
If there’s anything that might cause me to have a tiny bit of hesitation about the whole ‘housing link = acceptance’ line of thought, it’s my own situation here. I guess the only way to find out as of now is to see for myself in the next few days.
I have housing link too. 3.26 UW/3.9 W. 1220 SAT (CR+M). Instate.
Does anyone know if merit scholarship information will be available on the online portal? Or if it’ll come in the mail?
where can i find the housing link?
