Was there ever a Facebook page set up for accepted class of 2019 EA applicants?
and in fact housing is not necessarily a drawback. The current Spring 2015 accepted FC students, of 904 total, 481 live on campus in the dorms
For anyone who got accepted FC-- I highly recommend calling the office of extended studies! The woman who I talked to was extremely friendly and helpful about info. She was also understanding about fallbacks concerning the program and encouraging! Don’t be discouraged!
For FC/Spring 2016 candidates, can I study abroad for my first semester through UMD?
My cousin’s daughter was admitted two years ago into freshman connection. At first they were SO upset. Then they started researching it, speaking to other students who had done the program, asking admissions for more info, and in the end she decided to do it along with 1,000 other f.c. kids She is a sophomore now and is incredibly happy she picked Maryland. The FC kids fit right in with everybody else.
Posting for my son.

Hi,
I was accepted for CS but not for the scholars or the honors program.
Idc about the Scholars but I just applied because of EIP- Honors program.
Is there any way I can still get in ?
PS:I’ve emailed the International admissions counselor!
Also: Increased my ACT: 31 to 32 (M:36)
Improved my performance in the CS HS Course: 80%+ (Predicted grade 95%+ )
Thank you for your time and help!

Is there a FB page??
@intomwetrust Yes! it is called University of Maryland Class of 2019
there is also a page linked in that group for Honors students and Scholars
Kinda suprised I didn’t get atleast scholars. Is there a big emphasis on in state students. I have 33 act, leadership with multiple clubs, 8 aps, and over 300 hours of community service. Is there anyway to get into the scholars program after?
I think so. You have to do it through your individual program, though I may be wrong.
@kidsrexpensive, from what I recall from last year (and looking back at my calendar), it seems like the 2014 Banneker-Key invites went out in the second week of February, interviews took place in the last week of February and the first week or so of March, and the letter with the decision was dated March 25th. (I also see that I had a note to myself that in 2013, B-K invites went out Feb. 7th, interviews were late Feb/early March, and decisions were received starting March 23…)
@itllbeok - thanks so much for this info!!
When does the official mail acceptance come out?
@r1111j D2 received her “big envelope” today in the mail. We’re in Northern Virginia, so I’m a bit surprised it took four days to get here!
Is there an estimation for MA then? So excited!!
Envelope has not yet arrived in Baltimore suburbs. We may be a few miles farther away from College Park than @arlmom2 NoVA location.
@r1111j I assume lots of mail got backed up in Mass because of the snowstorm. But if you haven’t gotten it by Monday, you could always give them a call. You’ve received the email, right?
