I've already been accepted by these three. Which would you choose if you were in my shoes? (not to sound conceited)

depends on your major…but i’d definitely choose CORNELL!!!

Miami

It’s in Miami

Well, considering your location info already says “FL------>Cornell”…

Probs Cornell…

NYU is more a bunch of classes that happen to be in the same city (no real college unity) and Cornell is much better academically then Miami

“Location: FL —> Cornell '13”

yea…seems like you already made a choice? :)

pretty random selection of collegese…but youd be a fool if you didnt pick cornell

HOWEVER,

Cornell is in Ithaca.
Miami is…you get the rest.

I definitely have a favorite between the three (Cornell), but I want to make sure I weigh out the options first. All 3 offer unique options, but I don’t want to choose Cornell just for its name. That said, I made this thread in hopes of finding insight, not for the reasons you and Godfatherbob are implying.

What do you seek to find at your dream college?
Do you want a challenging curriculum? Great atmosphere? Beachy? Party school? City or town? Small or large population?
Tell us what you want to find at your dream school and we can tell you what each has then has to offer.

Choose NYU if you’ll be participating at the Honors Program at CAS, or if you’ll be studying at Stern.

Otherwise, Cornell.

I want a school with a challenging curriculum, but honestly I don’t have an ideal college. I would like to get out of FL, but that won’t be a deciding factor in my choice: Academics outweighs location. Which college is better overall for a liberal arts education? for minority students? and for someone looking at a career in law?

All I know is that NYU has a very well-known law school.

If you want a liberal arts education (and can afford it), I’d recommend NYU. Cornell is absolutely massive and more focused on sciences and business (it’s a huge research school). I’m not too sure about UMiami, but I think its strongest programs are in the biological/environmental sciences and communications.

And as another poster said, if you’re planning on going into law, NYU is definitely a smart way to go.

If you are prelaw, go to Miami, where A’s will likely be much easier to obtain. (Law school is ALL about numbers, much moreso than undergrad.)
