I have more of a physical disability, but am wondering how the above schools are for accommodations? I have already secured the needed documentation from my Dr, however, I want to know make an informed choice when the time comes to decide which school to go to.
Have you had any experience with getting accommodations at: UMiami, UConn, WPI, Northeastern?
How was the experience?
How hard/easy was it to go thru the process?
As a reference, things I am looking for are: a note taker, a single dorm, and them being okay with more than usual absences.
Thanks in advance for your time, kind internet strangers!!!
As I recall Northeastern and UConn have very good disability programs that will provide notetaker and other accims. Contact the disability office as soon as you accept admission. That way you can get necessary paperwork for registration in early. Also, the office could help with housing at Resident Services. While you are getting going, register with health services. Finally, because of privacy laws, campus offices with students registered at both are not allowed to speak to you or each other without signed permission so get releases signed right away.

Also look for campuses that has a bus system for the campus. Also, checked with housing for dorm rooms that have good adaptive rooms and bathrooms. You also may want a building with a campus cafeteria that allows you to use your meal ticket elsewhere. College food is filling and may provide some good food or pancake makers. FYI. Logan is the worst airport I ever had to uses.
