School/classes:
I go to international academy, which is ranked first in Michigan, and ninth nationally. So I take very, very hard classes. IB Classes.

My sister is also at umich who is doing medical school. I really want to go to umich. I slacked off like crazy freshman and sophomore year but picked it up junior year. BTW, I am actually a junior right now, and I just finished first semester with a 4.0, I know I can get a 4.0 again 2nd semester, but I put in 3.75 2nd semester as a minimum prediction. Tell me what I need to do to increase my chances. I know my chances are small, but let me know if there is ANYTHING else I can do!!!!!!

Your ACT is good, if you feel you can get even better give it a try. Otherwise you need to get that GPA up the best you can. You still hve time to do some Original EC’s as well, think about it, maybe some volunteering or work experience in the summer.

Pretend I get wait listed, will first semester senior year play a role in the admissions process?

@staticoneone if waitlisted i don’t think it will matter much. But if you apply early action and you are defferred, then yes, sending your first senior semester when you have it might make a difference.

Maybe you can show that you did some work in the field you are applying to. Maybe build some ec’s in that area.
ACT seems fine could do with a tad better. Your GPA is increasing so that is a good sign that universities sometimes do take into consideration. Overall I would say High Match. But you are still a junior if you branch out you might be able to turn that around to a match.
Please chance me back
