Umich or UIUC for Actuarial Science?

I got into both the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for their respective actuarial science programs. Does anyone which one is better or have any opinions on which one I should go to?

Both are good schools. Go with the less expensive one.

^^^by all means, show your friends that you’re already good at math.

Both are designated centers of excellence so price if that matters to you.

<a href=“Universities & Colleges with Actuarial Programs (UCAP) | SOA”>http://www.soa.org/education/resources/actuarial-colleges/actuarial-college-listings-details.aspx

Michigan’s Actuarial track is in the Math department which has a Financial math track as well (quant outplacement). That is a nice alternative should you change your mind on Actuarial Sciences. Not sure what IL has as an equivalent.

Btw another thing to consider: Ann Arbor>>UC
