<p>I'm in grade 11 at an Ontario (Canada) high school, and I'd like to pursue health sciences. Right now I'm not sure if I should apply to any US schools, but I am considering it. Does the reputation of the school matter if I want to go into medicine? If I go to a prestigious medical school will it help me get a better residency program? And mostly what I want to know is how does University of Michigan compare to McGill University in terms of the course rigor, prestige, acceptance, community/atmosphere, etc etc? Thanks.</p>
<p>You didn’t mention cost. Out of state tuition at Michigan is $40,000/year plus room and board and scholarships/financial aid is very limited for international students.</p>
<p>Tuition at McGill for an out of province Canadian is about $8,000/year.</p>
