i plan on attending medical school at harvard or yale or johns hopkins but iv narrowed my undergraduate choices to UMich in Ann Arbor and UGA....i live in GA and got into the UGA honors program...but i REALLY want to go to Michigan for undergrad....problem is my parents dont think its worth spending 40,000 a year for undergrad...my argument is that umich is more prestigious and ill have a better chance to going to the grad school of my dreams from there...i dunno what to do...should i go to a cost-effective school like UGA with its supposedly pretty decent honors program or go to michigan with its incredible 40,000 a year for out-of-state students?

You won't gain or lose an advantage by going to UMich. Honors might screw your GPA over. If you plan on attending Harvard, Yale, or JHU then you need a high GPA and I don't know if Honors will help you. UMich won't give you a "better chance of going to the grad school of your dreams".

Personally, I'd choose a different one other than UMich and UGA Honors, but that's just me.
