@Math557 michigan’s out of state financial aid is pretty generous compared to the uc’s. in general, public universities don’t give generous financial aid to out of state students because they have to subsidize the costs for in state students. michigan does not meet full need for out of state students, but if your family makes less than 90k, you will get aid, but i assume most out of state families make more than that. michigan has the wealthiest population of students out of all the public elites because of their large population of full pay out of state students.
Is this the most viewed applicant thread for any college this year? It almost has 1 million views. Michigan is the best.
Does anyone know the date from last year that most RD kids found out their decision?
They told me all the results should be out no later than mid of the april
@mayamurray 3/31
4/15 was the last day
Mid April, on their website & twitter feed. You’ll know soon enough! Good luck all!
The fact that this thread has 941K views and the deferred thread has 733K views is crazy. All you need is Michigan - Go Blue!
@guitar321 Ikr! I wonder if the acceptance rate will go down this year.
@TheShortSon it will. More applied for the same number of spots available. More competition so a lower acceptance rate.
So should we expect some decisions to be released tomorrow?
Son’s link disappeared today.
my link disappeared
What link?
I was deferred EA and the portal usually has links “View application data” “View application credential” “View application decision” I checked today around 4PM CST (around Ivy releases for my time zone) and I still had those three buttons. Checking now, the last “View application decision” has disappeared?? It feels like bad news…but I have an awful sense of foreshadowing so I could be wrong!
Waitlisted
Does anyone have any info on the waitlist? Do students ever get off the waitlist? When would we know?
Hey guys, there’s a waitlisted thread, so if we figure out any info, can we post it on there too? Just makes it easier to find specific info for waitlisted students!
@mayamurray According to the Common Data Set for 2015-16 (you can google it) there were 14,960 offered a spot on the waitlist and about 4,500 accepted a spot. But only 90 students were admitted from the waitlist.
Oh, great.
Got into Berkeley. Man, it is either UMichigan Ross or Berkeley (Econ then Haas).
