Final comment in that article was this “Our mission is to educate Minnesota students. We do not have a mission to educate non-Minnesota students,” Hsu said. “If you’re an Illinois students and if money is a concern for you, you should be going to the University of Illinois.”

Slap in current and future OOS UMN students’ face.

@mwoody999 UMN has the same obligation to you as CO School of Mines does to a MN resident. Incidentally, given that UMN’s OOS tuition, even with a 10% increase and the Engineering surcharge, is STILL less than what Mines currently charges its OOS’ers, UMN is not only the better school - it’s the better deal.
