Congratz!!! when did you get your interview (scheduled) what are your stats

congrats!!
yea stats would be great from u guys

Congratulations to all of you! =D

I'm an OOSer and I got an interview to the program as well, however, I will be declining the interview. Hopefully, that will benefit one of you guys!!

radracer- i saw some of your other posts, the one regarding "glaring problems" and i understand why you may be turning down the interview...

As for myself, honestly, this program is looking shadier as each day goes by but I'm still willing to consider it.
I have decided to accept the interview, date still unconfirmed. My stats are actually pretty horrible for being OOS. uwGPA<3.8 and no like scientific publications or super stellar awards although my teachers like me. And personally, deep down inside, I even thought that my essay was barely acceptable because the writing was subpar and I didn't have smooth transitions.

Thanks for understanding and looking at my posts strangequark. Yeah, I thoroughly researched the program as noted in my post from different sources, and before I was willing to fork over $321,000 I wanted to know what exactly I would be getting.

According to the UMKC thread, if you peruse in past posts according to people in the program, once you get the interview its less about stats and more about who you are as a person, your commitment to medicine, your activities, etc. -- more holistic. UMKC does not emphasize research as it is not a research institution so I really wouldn't worry about publications and your essay - which they obviously liked enough to give you an interview. I really think you're being way too hard on yourself.

well i feel kind of evil for saying this, but i do hope that turning down the interview does end up benefiting me :-/
i am actually a tiny bit surprised i didnt get an interview, but my stats were definitely not as good as many of the others that were posted
however, now that i took the advice about perusing the other UMKC posts, i am not looking too fondly onto the program either- but i'll take my chances if i do get offered an interview

I have an interview. I need help preparing. you guys have any ideas.

i got an interview too..

I got one as well!

Are you all of you out-of-state?

i am..IL :D

I am too..from Michigan!

toosweet91: I dont think the chem placement test is a factor
the girl i talked to said they didnt mention that test ever again after taking it..

You take the Toledo Chemistry Placement Exam:

Does anyone know the types of questions that will be aked in the two interviews? What is the chemistry test cover? Does this affect our admission to the program. I received my interview around Jan. 30, but I am waiting for a response from the school

I have got in as well.
