I applied EA, but I choose 3. I wrote about ice cream - how I always eat ice cream with my family so it makes me feel safe and comfortable, and how when I visited UNC (and ate some froyo there lol), I felt safe and comfortable, like part of a family. I was really proud of my essay - I sure hope it’s enough to get me in but I doubt it. What did you choose?

I applied EA and I also chose 3. I wrote about one of my late aunt’s recipes and how the food reminded me of her and the value she placed on family and I talked about how my family had a heavy role in making me the person I am today. I feel like it was a pretty solid essay. It was one of the few essays I wrote for all of my applications that I really saw my personality in. That’s what I’ve always been told is the goal of the essays: to get a good sense of who you are.

I didnt apply to that college, but I would choose. 1. You just put a message in a bottle and threw the bottle out to sea. What is the message…
And then write a story of how i got lost somewhere… make up a story… IF YOU CAN!

My son chose 1- he wrote it from the perspective of crashing his plane on an island (like Castaway) and only having his basketball named Williams to keep him company. Sends a letter with all the things that attracted him to UNC. Ends up by seeing Coach K on a ship that comes close to the island, but Williams tells him to stay away from Coach K.

@termah420 I haven’t started mine yet…don’t know which topic to choose…

I choose number 2!

I chose number one. I did it for EA though.

I chose number 4 for EA

chose 6…

I chose number 4.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using CC

I chose 3, and went with chocolate chips, and related it to stress eating them while watching football games, and then that to the comfort that family brings.

I chose 3 for Early Action. Around where I live we have these really great packaged baked goods, and I wrote about how a different flavor/variety has always been with me growing up, and how each unique variety reminds me of a formative moment or happy childhood memories. I am very proud of my work on this one.

I chose 1 for RD! I am so anxious to hear back!!!

Chose 1, wrote a letter to the recipient and asked/talked about parts of different countries… Sounds complicated but easily the best thing I’ve ever written

1 and 3 are so popular … I did 1 too…

I chose 3.

DS chose 6

I chose 5 and discussed losing 80 pounds as a metaphor for a transformation of myself in other respects, and then how I am a member of my counties health department where I lead a coalition of community organizers to build school gardens and healthy vending machines around Baltimore

*County’s.
