UNC doesn’t defer from EA. It’s either accepted, rejected or waitlisted
Admitted In-state!
Does anyone know what percent of people are waitlisted (preferably OOS in particular but would be curious about overall too)? Wondering if it means anything for my other applications that I got rejected instead of waitlisted.
Accepted OOS
D22 accepted from NY. Congrats to all who got in.
if you don’t mind sharing, what is your SAT and class ranking? I am OOS with 1530 SAT, valedictorian, 5.0 GPA; perfect stores on AP - IB diploma, 3 sport athlete + clubs
accepted as well. Thanks OP!
sorry - forgot to include that I was waitlisted
Waitlisted.
Any OOS legacy decisions?
Rejected OOS
3.89 UW/4.5 W
32 ACT
14 AP/IB
Strong essays + extracurriculars that tie to major
Kind of disappointed after a deferral from NEU but oh well. Onto the next.
You have similar stats to my nephew who graduated HS in 2016…boys have a much harder time getting into UNC. My friend’s daughter graduated from UNC in 2011 and itwas the same for her HS class.
Yes, OOS legacy waitlisted
Accepted In-State, 36 act superscore (35 composite), 4.0 unweighted, 4.6 weighted. However was denied from honors… anyone get in there?
anyone know if its easy/hard to get off waitlist
Daughter Accepted in state Wake County
I believe it’s around a 0.86% chance from previous years, so unfortunately pretty slim.
Rejected OOS. Congrats to all who got in!!
son rejected, OOS. 1580, 1/450 rank, 14 APs (mostly 5’s), varsity athlete, summer research program, prez of clubs etc… he doesn’t seem to mind as he’s been leaning towards another school where already accepted. all works out in the end. good luck
I got in!!!
