UNC for OOS???

<p>If you have excellent extracurriculars, have written a good essay, and have your recs, don't worry about your scores - apply EA. Meanwhile, if you do think your scores are too low, just retake whatever you're doing. Seriously, the SAT/ACT are smaller deals than they're made out to be, especially at UNC.</p>

<p>I know of at least one Yalie who did not make UNC@CH from out of state. I understand that there are more.</p>

<p>I disagree with vc08's suggestion to apply RD instead of EA. Early Action absolutely increases your chance of admittance significantly, is non-binding, and allows for a second review of your application should you be deferred!</p>

<p>EA does not statistically increase chance..maybe like 1%...for an oos, EA does not help anymore than it might hurt</p>
