UNC vs Rutgers

<p>So I got accepted to Rutgers - New Brunswick and I'm waiting on word from Chapel Hill at the moment. I am in state for UNC, OOS for Rutgers. I have planned on going to Rutgers and moving back up there for a couple of years now. I realize that I have no guarantee at all with UNC, but I'm worrying about the possible scenario already...</p>

<p>I've really looked forward to getting away from here, but I fear that regardless of what I want to do it would be extremely dumb to pay OOS for Rutgers when I can pay in state for UNC. I have other reasons for wanting to get away from North Carolina, but I'm not sure it justifies the difference in tuition. There's a good chance this predicament won't even present itself, but I'm already analyzing it in my head.</p>

<p>As you stated previous, there is a chance this scenario will not even present itself. Admissions for UNC are going to be extra-competitive due to the introduction of the Common App. My opinion may be biased because I, too, applied for UNC and am anxiously awaiting the decision. If you get accepted to UNC I say you go. Less tuition for a stellar education.</p>
