Hello! My son interviewed for UNCSA's film school. If you or your student interviewed, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how it went. We loved the campus and the people we met, and are very excited...but very nervous, too! Good luck to everyone!

My Daughter also interveiwed and we have not heard anything!!! She felt it went good but we are not sure on how many are beeing accepted to the film school. Would love to know how many interveiwed compared to available slots…
If any one has recieved a letter yet let us know!!!

My daughter told me today that she recieved an email with a student ID so she could log on to make sure her packet was complete. I would asume that they are making decissions now…

Yes, we got the student id email as well, but nothing on acceptance so far. What day did you guys interview? My son interviewed Feb. 4. Good luck!

We went on Jan 21st. There was about 25 students interviewing. If we get anything will post it… Good luck to you as well!

Thanks for responding, ARWMOM! There were approximately 80 kids, maybe a few more, interviewing when we went on Feb. 4! It was a cold, wet, rainy day, but we had a lot of fun meeting people. Fingers crossed here!

Nothing Yet!!! Is this your sons only choice? It is my daughters #1 choice if she does not get in it will be a miserable time!

Add us to the list of parents wondering. Our son also interviewed on the 4th. He has received the student ID also, but other than that it’s been quiet.

This is our son’s #1 choice also, so we’re sweating it out a little bit.

Hi mstcc3 glad to know we are not the only ones sweating it out! We will post the moment we find out anything… Good Luck!

My son interviewed on Jan 21st and just received his acceptance letter for filmaking yesterday. Supposedly, they are going out a few at a time…not one big mailing. Good luck to everyone waiting.

Thanks johndone12…

I was just curious as to what kind of envelope. ie… thick, thin, big or just regular.
I want to be as prepared as I can when the mail comes so i know what to say when she opens the letter. Thanks

White 8 1/2" x 11" business envelope. A letter and a few forms inside.

Congratulations, JohnDONE12!!! We’re still waiting here…anxious, nervous, I don’t think anyone has any fingernails left, LOL.

ARWMOM - yes, it’s his only choice. If he doesn’t get in, he plans to stay local and go to our community college and re-apply. Seriously hoping we don’t have to go that route!

JohnDone12 - would you mind sharing your child’s GPA and SAT score? Or is that too personal a question to ask? Just trying to get a good feel!

If my Daughter does not get in she has already been accepted to Western Carolina University but they only let you take film in 2nd year. She already will have her associates degree because she is enrolled in the early college high school. She applied to MassArt but they wanted more art work in her portfolio, which we did not get… she wants to learn film not painting! So she dropped that school…
Is anyone here from North Carolina?

Nothing today…
AAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

johndone12 did your son get a recommended for acceptance letter first or just the actual acceptance letter? Thanks and Congrats to your son…

acceptance letter with medical form and form to send back deposit for housing etc.

Well, very bad news here. He’s been denied. I truly can’t believe it. I was so sure he was going to get in. The interview went well, his recommendation letters were perfect…this school seemed like the perfect fit for him. Congratuations to those of you who got/get in. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for those of you who are still waiting.

cbsmom soooo sorry to hear the bad news. I was so hoping that everyone on this post would get in. Good Luck to your son in his future endevors!!!
