Thank you!!
Well… there are 37 students in the “UNCSA Drama Class of 2023” page on Facebook… I thought I remembered Scott saying that they accepted 30 out of the 900 students who audition…
It probably includes some current students and maybe those waitlisted (?). They sometimes accept a few more than they hope to enroll so there is that too.
As it is a closed group it is hard to know how many current students are also on the page.
Yeah, I haven’t heard anything yet. Auditioned the last weekend one could. Don’t know what that means?
Weekend is over and we are still waiting. Maybe today…
@Medusa29 how was your son’s show? I bawled like a baby Sunday after my daughter’s final performance.
Has anyone heard anything yet?
@FutureActress7
Nothing yet!
Same! @KAAL11 I am so anxious!
My sons show was great. It was his last high school musical but he still has some plays to go. We still have not heard anything either.
They are on break this week. May or may not impact decisions going out. Not sure.
Oh no. I hope that doesn’t drag things out. At this point I wonder when it’s ok to call.
I’ve been calling every few days or so. They told me rolling admissions. But they are seriously on break this week? What does that mean??
@MattyB9678 – it means the students are on spring break but offices are open. I emailed a staff member (about something else) and received an email reply today.
I talked to Bill Poole and he would like for people to email rather than call. He said all decisions have not been made yet and they are still working on files.
@NervousMominGA no news is good news then. Perhaps this year they approached it differently. Thanks for updating everyone.
At this point everyone is getting different responses. The wait is nerve racking.
Glad to hear that they are still working through the applications. There’s still some hope.
@rosalind18 Well, we know they’ve already phoned Admits. We know they’ve already phoned Wait Listed. We know they’ve emailed a bunch of Denieds.
At this point, anybody who hasn’t heard (like my kid) has to assume that they’ve been Denied but not yet notified or, best case scenario, just outside the Wait List and being held in some sort of “just-in-case” file.
I’ve also read something about “please try again next year” letters, but can’t decide if that’s really a win or not for a kid who hasn’t even made this year’s Wait List.
All that said… UNCSA is a great program that gets results. While I might not be a fan of their post-audition communication process, this one’s probably worth a little, teeny tiny amount of completely unjustified hope.
I am still hopeful! It’s a tedious process though…
@FutureActress7 I agree!
