Undergrad Business school and getting an MBA

My question is: how is it looked upon by top graduate schools (Stanford, Penn, etc) for prospective MBA students if they received an undergrad business degree (such as Cornell’s Dyson program, in my scenario) vs a liberal arts education, in an arts and sciences department or even at a college like Wharton. Does it make sense to get an undergrad business degree if you know you plan to get an MBA later on regardless? Which is looked upon more favorably from grad schools?

Thanks for any help.

It doesn’t matter whether or not you get a business degree. Business schools want to see that you have a solid GMAT and GPA.

I agree with the above. If you check out Stanford’s most recent admitted MBA class profile, you’ll see that the vast majority of students did not major in business during their undergrad years. Many have degrees in engineering and the liberal arts/sciences. Along with a good GPA and GMAT score, work experience is also a heavily weighted factor.
