<p>Recruiters go to Wharton because it's Wharton. They could change the requirements to feature 100 credits in Hungarian but as long as the diploma says Wharton companies will continue to recruit there.</p>
<p>Xiggi, Let me take another tack. You are thinking "recruiter". I'm thinking "hiring manager". They are, of course, not the same. Everything you say could be true for students RECRUITED on campus by a company. The recruiter will have done his/her homework and understand what you speak of, just by making the decision to recruit at a particular college. </p>
<p>The problem is that hiring managers will not typically take the time to learn that ASU is tops in supply. All they know is that in their college days....</p>
<p>As someone who has read through resumes (for her own job!), I'll second MassDad. When someone hands me a stack of resumes (sure, I was 20 when this happened, but still...) and tells me to give them five or ten good ones, I have to efficiently weed out over 90% of them. Guess what - a cheesy-looking major gets you thrown in the trash, because there are 80 other people who don't have the cheesy major.</p>
