<p>Daughter accepted with $$ to some top schools (Vandy, Duke, W&L, Wake) which would still leave about $40K in total debt for her at graduation. Also in @UGA Honors which would give her no debt. Given that she will attend graduate school, does choosing a free undergrad at a lower ranked institution(UGA) make sense? Would really appreciate any employers take on this. Thanks</p>
<p>pumpkin5 – There have been a few posts on this kind of question recently. (The low cost option versus the high reputation option.) If you look around on the last – maybe 5 – pages you can probably find some of them. Many different viewpoints on this.</p>
<p>If she is planning to pursue a PhD - the ones worth pursuing are fully funded.</p>
<p>The employers usually only care about the most advanced degree, so the grad school will matter much more then the undergrad for that. But the undergrad may in part determine the grad schools she will get into…</p>
<p>nngmm - too soon to tell about the PhD. UGA Honors sends many kids to the top grad schools, so I think she can/will be prepared.</p>
