Undergraduate Engineering/Physics

Hey, I was just wondering what you guys thought about the best undergraduate engineering/physics schools. I got into UIUC and Cornell for physics, but wondering if should have tried for Berekely (Waitlisted Stanford). I heard their engineering is good, but not at the undergraduate level. Just wanted to get rankings from someone besides US News.

Other big question. Does good engineering imply good physics? I am also considering UChicago, which has no engineering, but good physics.

Thanks

thought about cornell's engineering physics major through the engineering college?

Sure have. Actually, when I visited I asked a lot of questions about it. The professor said that on the graduate level, that there is actually little difference. It lies the different classes at the undergraduate level. However, upon mentioning it, everyone shudders. I guess it is the hardest major at an already majorly difficult engineering institution. I'm game, though!

Bump, as there is no more choice involved. Cornell here I come!

I've been told Rice has a highly respected physics department. I've never heard any real comments on its engineering.

I have heard that too. I would love to consider for grad school.
