uneven standardized test scores

The downfall on both ACT and SAT is due to the timed aspect. not a fast reader...never will be.

ACT : R 31 M 34 W 34 S 24 31 composite

SAT: R 640 M 780 W 790 2190

Previous sittings of both tests were practically the same

During non timed practice tests, (Science and English on ACT and Critical Reading on SAT,) scores are consistently around the 95th percentile. Practice has not improved these scores when up against the clock.

PSAT not that much different. Dont remember the exact numbers but R was significantly lower than M and W, yet still made Commended Student in spite of the poor show on R.

Other info. 3.98 UW: as many H and AP as schedule would allow. Weighted GPA is around 4.12 I think.

Excellent Leaderships: Several presidencies: Key Club, Student Council

Excellent ECs at National Level. Full Merit Scholarship to Study Russian in Russia last summer. Continuing with Russian during this school year with tutor

So concerned about these outlying scores. Any sense of how schools such as Georgetown for SFS, Tufts, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown would interpret?

Many of the schools don’t even care about the science section. All of these schools are very selective. WHy not just do your best job on the application and see what comes out? Make sure you have safety school or schools both for financial aid and for admittance.
