unhooked and scea

is there any advantage to applying scea as opposed to rd for unhooked candidate? my understanding is that most sceas accepted are hooked or extraordinary and that most others are deferred (assuming they are strong enough to be considered in rd)? is that correct?

I’m not sure about hooked but you must be a very strong candidate to be accepted SCEA

One advantage is that if you get in, you could be all done with your applications by dec. 15.

If your application is as strong in Nov. as it will be after 1st semester grades are out, you have nothing to lose by applying SCEA.
