Unifieds -- on-the-spot admits?

I’m in California, and don’t know what that means either. I don’t have any negative perceptions of the NE - at least that I’m consciously aware of…

Ditto on the regional Thespian auditions to one of the posts above. It was low cost, and a great way to kick the tires before Unified Auditions. My kid was lucky, and got a high number of callbacks, and some great feedback about her audition song. How nice to feel like she is on the right track at a low cost. We had talked about it on the ride to the audition, that if she got no “nibbles” that she’d focus on non audition programs. I have watched families spend a fortune to travel around the country for auditions in the winter and come back empty-handed.
It is also a good dose of reality to look around the room at other kids who are your “type” to see what you might be up against.

Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me how late in the day the Unified Auditions go until?? (especially New York). Thank you so much!

In Chicago, some auditions, especially dance, or at nearby Roosevelt, went into evening, although most were done by 6:00. PM However, on the last day at Chicago, many were finished by noon since many auditors flew back home or on to LA in the afternoon. I would go ahead and call schools as you are arranging schedules and flights if you have questions. They are always very nice about answering them. We found it best to fly in at least the day before and fly out the day after.

We just got one audition scheduled for unifieds (Chicago) for a dance call from 5-7 on Wednesday. I was hoping to leave by noon to get home. I guess I will have to call and see about moving that around. My D’s regional swim meet starts that Thursday so we have to go home!
