Unique financial and academic situation

Hi,

I am a rising senior at a very competitive private school in Wisconsin. My family acrually makes over $60,000/yr in income, but because of our unique situation (PM me if you want to know more), my parents will be able to provide me with little to no support in paying for college. I have a 3.21 GPA, which at my school puts me around the top 30-40% I think (again, very competitive). I really struggled the furst semester of my freshman year and sophomore year, but have tuened things around considerably since then. I have a 30 ACT and 2070 (1350) SAT. Both were in one sitting. Would it be worth it for me to apply?

Oh, and my first choice schools would be:

Notre Dame
UPenn
Vandy
Trinity
UChicago
Amherst
Northwestern

Thanks and any thoughts are well appreciated!

There is technically no cutoff, but it is hard to know without the situation (I will PM you in a minute). That being said your GPA/rank are low for QB. Most people who make finalist are in the top 10 percent of their class and have something like a 3.75+. It is hard to say since your school is competitive…

I’m in the same boat as you & I would say apply. You never know.
