Georgia Tech has a Co-Op program where students can spend a semester working for a company instead of studying in school in order to get work experience and build relationships with companies. Does CMU have any unique programs like this? It doesn’t have to be exactly the same as GTech.
A google search suggests no (except for maybe a program or two). You should check the degree requirements for your major of interest and find out what sort of internship opportunities are available. From what I’m reading, CMU students are highly sought after due to the rigor of the school so there might not be any need for a cooperative ed. component.
