I’m a junior in high school and I am strongly considering USNA as an option for furthering my education, but I’m worried that my ACT scores won’t reflect well (28 composite, 34 reading, 28 English, 8 Writing, 25 Math, 25 Science), I’m planning on taking it again, but it won’t be until the fall, I’m just not sure because my two lowest scores are in math and science (which seem to be very important considering everyone graduates with a bachelor of sciences degree).
I’m female, have been on the varsity golf team for two years, been involved in my schools band, choir, musicals, plays, Interact, art, Vita Christi, and international clubs and I’m currently a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Denmark. I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, and have taken all the advanced/accelerated courses that have been made available to me. My school doesn’t do class rank but I would say I’m somewhere in the top 25% maybe top 15% (there’s only 80 students in my year) Because I’m missing out on junior year in the United States, and the first year AP courses are offered at my school, I’m hoping to make up for it with a tougher course load my senior year (AP US history, AP physics, Spanish 5, AP English/Lit, and possibly AP Calculus- not certain, as Pre-Cal hasn’t been my strongest class)
I don’t know if this is enough information to make an assessment, and without a doubt I will still apply, but I just don’t want to get my hopes up too high and be disappointed if my #1 choice doesn’t come through.
