Units and engineering majors

Hello! Can a USC student:

  1. complete more than 128 units? Is there any limit to how many units a student can complete at USC?
  2. switch his/her major to any engineering major as long as the student completed or will complete the pre-requisites for the specific engineering major? (Example: a USC history major switching to computer science major with all the math and science pre-requisites completed or in-progress)

Yes, you can stay at USC and do more units to double major/minor, whatever, as long as you don’t mind paying for it.

If you meet certain requirements you can transfer into Viterbi. It is Viterbi that has to approve the change of majors. You can meet with an advisor once there to discuss the course and grade requirements to get into Viterbi/engineering, but it can be done.

Cool! Thank you for your answers!
