Univ. of Illinois: Urbana-Campaign Physics

Does anyone know if the Specialized Physics route through UIUC is any good? Also how would it compare to Rose Hulman's?

Thanks

UIUC is one of the best schools for physics in the country. I’m currently in a CC, and transferring to UIUC next year.

The Specialized Physics Curriculum there is extremely comprehensive. It goes into a lot more depth than the physics curriculum at most schools. It also offers a great deal of flexibility to specialize the degree to your interests. There are a lot of different minor options and concentrations that you can complete for various fields like astrophysics, biophysics, geophysics etc.

Alright, thank you. I was accepted on Friday I was just wondering if I should go there or not.

A a long-ago graduate, I would say that it gives you an excellent physics education as long as you put the effort in.

UIUC is a top ten physics program. I’m applying there for graduate school. I know two graduate students at my university who went there as well as someone who is a senior now and they all had great things to say about the program
