@biomedical2023 i received mine at about 5pm. that’s just me though, i don’t know about other people.
@hannah1789 so how does the notification process work? They send you an email that readable exactly what? What does your portal look like when a new status is uploaded?
guys it’s literally fine like i do so many extra curriculars my stats are really high (i worked really hard) i have crazy amazing life experiences i got to write about and i still didn’t hear anything yet. i’m not freaking out though you know how many applications they have to sift through?! i get it’s frustrating others have heard but think about how hard admissions is working. i wouldn’t get nervous over not hearing anything yet. they technically have until february to give admission decisions for early action.
@angmcd your right. UB is one of my top choices and I Just want to know my decision. I guess having it before Christmas break will be a nice present and good start to the new year lol.
@biomedical2023 you get an email saying your admission status was updated. it doesn’t say if you were accepted or denied. then theres a link to your portal in the same email, and it says “admission decision” or something like that and you click it and then it says your decision.

im in relay for life, political forum, i run an organization that advocates against gun violence, i run spring and winter track, i have a job, and i have received multiple awards, and the governor of vermont wrote me a letter of rec!!! i’m beyond thankful that my hard work paid off.

I didn’t realize results would be coming out so soon, so I just found out today I got into the honors program. Before anyone asks, my stats were
95/100 unweighted GPA (school doesn’t weight) at highly reputable public school.
7 APs and multiple honors courses with a 5 on AP Chemistry. I also sent my SAT2 Math 2 score of 800
35 ACT
Founder of club, moderate and create policies w/i an app, run a blog with several thousand followers, help with hw, NHS member, dance in a culture-related club, varsity sports member, manager, shadowed a doctor at a hospital, volunteer at an agency, and teaching myself two languages (I won’t give our specific details for privacy reasons).
No, I definitely don’t think you need these stats to get in. Also, stats aren’t everything. If you write a really great essay for example, but have below average stats, you can get in. Some might ask why I applied to UBuff over other SUNYs, especially bc of my stats, but I did a lot of research and I found that UBuff would be the best fit out of all of them.
To anyone that’s curious: no I don’t think you are accepted into a major, rather just the university itself. I applied to biomedical sciences, but that seems to have a whole process within itself once you say you’re going. (I plan on going into medicine.) Maybe more details will be given in the letter.

do they release decisions on the weekend?
Has anyone gotten into Buffalo who selected Computer Science as their major, if so, what were your stats? Everyone I know who applied for CS hasn’t heard back yet, so I am wondering if anyone has.
@biomedical2023 I don’t think they work on weekends because if you ever try to call their admissions office on a weekend, they tell you that their office hours are Monday-Friday. looking at last years thread, I have a strong feeling they might release some decisions today or the upcoming week. Let’s see. hopefully they do.
