University Day?

Anyone know what University Day is exactly?? I don't think I'll be able to go, so I wanted to know what I'll be missing. Aside from what the invitation says (which, in my opinion, is very ambiguous), what type of activities will be held? More importantly, will one be able to explore the freshmen dorms? Also, does anyone have any idea how long it'll last? Thanks for your help!

Yeah I was wondering if ED kids get to go to University Day too? I haven't recieved anything so I'm thinking that we do not, but if anyone knows that would be great. Thanks

Hm.. I'm going. I registered, and as far as I know... it's from 11-3 (for Stern).. so I'm guessing that includes a lunch??? (Hopefully) and probably some speakers .... I dunno. They didn't send me a schedule.

I'm visiting a friend who's friend is an admissions person so she's going to give me an informal tour of the school. hehe yay.

You will receive a schedule when you arrive. Bascially it's just a bunch of events throughout the day. Tours... discussions about Fin Aid, Study Abroad etc. perhaps meet your dean and other students that attend your school. It's not very structured and pretty laid back. I think the events last until about 5ish.

I don't think you will be able to "explore the freshman dorms" but if you take the tour they will probably show you Goddard or Hayden. They will give you a map when you arrive (I think at Bobst) and you can explore them on your own too. I'd check out the lobbies of them, and even you are ballsy enough find a student and ask them to sign you in to see their dorm room.

Thanks, that helps a lot! :)
