University in the High School

A fair number of public high schools in the Hudson Valley and Capital District have latched onto the (SUNY) University at Albany's "University in the High School" program. This program is used primarily for year's 4 and 5 study of foreign languages, but UITC courses are also offered in the sciences, maths and social sciences.

Although the UITH program states that college credits earned in the high school are transferrable to ALL SUNYs and NYS community colleges, I was having trouble confirming this on the Geneseo web site. Does anyone know if these credits are indeed accepted at the more selective SUNYs (i.e. Geneseo, Binghamton, Stony Brook)?

we were “told” the science research with D obtaining 12 credits by senior year, would be applied to humanities, it was Science Research, but they designated it as a social science field, it clearly wasn’t but thats how they would treat it. As did the eventual university D attended, an OOS school. What they said and what they would have done we did not find out, but were told that at the time of application last year.
