University of Chicago TOEFL minimum subscore requirement

Hi, my name is Ruth. I'm a high school student from Indonesia who's interested in applying to University of Chicago. I have a question regarding admission requirements for international students. I've read in the website that the minimum TOEFL iBT score required for international applicants is 104. I just received my TOEFL score and I got 111 in total. However, I recently found out that University of Chicago also requires minimum subscore of 26 for each section. My 111 score consists of:
-29 on the reading section,
-25 on the listening section,
-27 on the speaking, section,
-30 on the writing section.
My question now is, is the minimum subscore of 26 for each section an absolute requirement? In other words, will my application be certainly rejected from U of C with my 25 subscore in the listening section? And on that account, should I retake TOEFL exam?
Thanks.

Call or email admission and they will tell you in a flash.

You have to retake. Sorry.

oh no…:frowning:
I didn’t know about that. I was also going to apply, but I got 25 on the reading section. hmm…

I took the IBT TOEFL and have an overall score of 104, but ONE of my sub-scores is below 26 and the program I am applying for requires at least 26 on each part. Do I have to retake the TOEFL?
Yes, you do have to retake the TOEFL. The requirement is a score of 104 with sub scores of 26 or better. If you receive your test results and find that an element of your score does not meet the requirement, you should immediately make arrangements to retake the test.

You may ask admission staff but I think if you send them that question, they will paste the answer above from the website.

You all are mistaken. The website for undergraduate admissions doesn’t state any requirement for sub-scores. The excerpt you cited was for graduate admissions. Take a look here:
