Essays (rating 1-10, details): 10. Was very well written and reviewed my multiple teachers who all felt it was very telling of the person I am.

Teacher Rec #1 (rating 1-10, details): 8. Physics teacher. Didn’t do too well in his class but we had a very good relationship and he loved my lab writeups and saved it to use as an example for coming years and would always talk about them.
Teacher Rec #2 (rating 1-10, details): 10. US History teacher. We have a very good relationship. I did really well in his class. He always told me I had very good leadership skills and told my mom he can see me being a CEO of a company (lol).

Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): Recommendation letter from counselor excused my freshmen year poor grades due to depression.

Reflections: I wish I retook the ACT but I will admit, I got very lazy. If you’re a junior reading this, take the ACT as early as possible/as many times as possible! You will NOT regret it, I swear.
Strengths: Recommendation letters, extracurriculars, and the upward trend in grades year by year I had.

Weaknesses: ACT Score and freshmen year grades.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Recommendation letter from counselor really advocated for me. I was very involved in school. Had good grades sophomore, junior, and during my first quarter of senior year.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected/deferred: Goucher College (accepted), Ithaca (accepted), St. Johns Queens (Accepted), Hofstra (Accepted), Hartwick College (Accepted), SUNY Albany (Accepted), NYU (denied), SUNY Stony Brook (denied), Fordham University Rose Hill (deferred), SUNY Binghamton (deferred), waiting to hear from American University & Boston University.

General Comments (if any): N/A

The deadline passed in mid January, but I keep getting emails asking me to apply. Is it still possible for some people to apply? I’m considering it.
