This is great news. How soon are the new teachers going to be hired?

33% of what was stipulated next fall.

33% in the Fall of 2009.

33% in the Fall of 2010.

Will this affect the huge freshman seminars? How will it affect the Honors program?

Are those massive high rises condos or rental apartments? (so many questions. so little time!)

The Honors Program already has fantastic class sizes. Perhaps they will get even better...

As far as the Freshman Intro-Classes that are packed out, I would imagine they will be reduced substantially.

The 200 faculty will be hired to make the Undergraduate experience better, not to just solely conduct research. Lot's of Assistant Professors & Instructors will need to be hired, and not so much Prominent Research Professors who are pillars to their fields.

However, the multi-billion Capital Campaign will be used to hire clusters of Prominent Researchers. They will really boost our Graduate Programs, and the yearly Research Expenditure will be in the billion range very shortly.

The high rises will be for sale on an individual basis. I know this because I have never heard of developers renting out individual units. It's always a landlord who purchases the property, and then rents it out. These units will probably cost anywhere between 250k - 1 million.

J'A- An an OOS parent i can say that students from this area (NYC sub.)apply to UF and FSU. It seems that for those who want a college town experience USF and UCF are not able to fill that need. we visited all four and found each one offered something unique. But hands down to us UF and FSU were the stand outs!

Credited.

UF & FSU have a great college town experience.
