<p>well the stereotypical reputation is rich jewish students from new jersey and long island (i live 5 minutes away from the school), but i dont know how true that is.
there are some fantastic programs there, and the dance/art/music/theater departments are some of the nations strongest. the psych department is supposed to be pretty good, and they just started an engineering school and a interactive information technology program that is like ne of only 3 programs in the country.
the UHa shuttle takes students to the mall (awesome huge mall), west hartford center (very quaint shopping/restuarant/bar area), among other places. i know that there was recently a bus trip to new york city to see a broadway musical.
im pretty sure that the campus is very active in various activities, with tons of clubs and such. a couple of decent sports teams, and the school is in the middle of renovating many of the buildings.
very very generous for financial aid.</p>
