@proudmom9 What helped your son make his final decision. My daughter is close to a decision but still toggling between another school.
My son found the school visits very helpful in making his final decision. UK was top because he loved the campus, the newer dorms, the LLP programs and he felt very comfortable there. Even though he visited during a school break they still got him together with their recruitment coordinator and another student ambassador to talk individually with him about what he was looking for in a school as well as their programs and study abroad options. It helped him to feel like they were interested in him as a person and not just as another student that may or may not come to the school. Then of course there was the scholarship offer. He was offered the Patterson Scholarship which is equivalent to the singeltary competitive scholarship but was based on his grades and PSAT score instead of the separate competitive application and interview process. I hope your daughter decides on the school she feels will be her best fit, academically, socially and financially. If you have any other questions just let me know and good luck- it is an exciting time.
