I’m interested in applying to UMD, and I’ve really tried looking for the requirements the university needs for me to get accepted, but I can’t find it. For example, Carnegie Mellon’s SCS requires me to take 2 subject tests (it was on their site… they have more but I forgot). Does UMD’s CMNS require anything specific for application as well?
@Sophiclees - UMD does not require SAT Subject tests. You need to submit SAT scores, LORs, a Transcript and, of course, a completed application. UMD’s application portal has a document tracker that you can use to make sure everything has been received. I would recommend submitting all application material by Nov 1 (the priority deadline). Absolutley apply by Nov 1st, if you care about scholarships.
The school you mentioned is not a limited enrollment progra, (LEP), but if you are considering other options, such as engineering, they are more competitive to get into and if you don’t specify interest and get in right away, you will have to meet certain requirements before you can be enrolled in certain majors.
