Can you post stats, or anything?

Can you also put acceptance rates, number of applicants, interviewees, and number taken?

I am a rising senior who is also interested in this program. While I can’t really “chance” you, I think you have a good shot. Your scores are high. You really just need to work on your essays, since the other parts of your application are solid.

Good luck!

You seem to be meeting the SAT I, II and GPA requirements.

SAT is a little on the low-end but beyond that, you have good chances for interview because of the ECs. As with most programs, once you get an interview it’s all dependent on that. I really don’t remember the exact numbers, but I think around 25 get accepted. I’m estimating 60 for interview stage (generally close to double the number accepted) and around 250 applicants. My interviewer happened to be obsessed with numbers, so I got lucky and others focused on personality. Ultimately a lot is up to chance. Good luck!

DS was invited to this but they did not specify dress code. What would be the dress code for the interview?
Also, how long was the interview and by how many interviewers?

@4beardolls when is your interview? And when were you notified for it?

u have a good chance, mainly because ur african american

@4beardolls

If your son’s interview was 2/6 then this reply is too late, sorry. I just came across this thread right now. I mainly followed the BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2014 thread and just posted our Miami HPM trip report there, and you may want to check it out if he is interviewing next week. I believe the young men on our trip were almost all in dark suit and tie. Interview was one hour, with a single interviewer (different interviewers for different students). Best of luck!

Guys, check your emails, I received merit scholarship email today around 5 pm CST.

i got mine yesterday EST, anyone call miami to check what time they release decisions? I called the office of admissions and they said mid-april…but im gonna double check with meredith coen who is the main lady.

We should make one! After getting into multiple ivys, my heart hasn’t changed. Miami HPM was my first choice and I believe that admissions saw that at my interview. Here’s for living it up at the U for the next 7 years; go hurricanes!

Awesome! Here is the link for the group I’ve set up. Feel free to invite others and get the word out. I’ve got my friend from interviews at BUSMED and Miami in the group so far but its lonely :[ Spread the love.

Make sure to remove the “[” and “]” from the link before searching, College Confidential doesn’t allow links.
