daughter accepted on Friday!
OOS
WGPA 4.8
SAT 2000
4 yr sport (3 varsity), lots of volunteer exp
special circumstances (dad died in 2012)

It seems everybody who has been accepted so far in this round has 2k+ on SAT , next round they must have a different boundary , im guessing 2k-18k next round.

I got 2180 (800-M 700-W 680-CR 6-Essay) n no decision.
My SAT 2 wasn’t all that bad either (800-M2 770-M1 650-USH)
TOEFL - 110

Hey!! I was just wondering, does the admissions office send out emails or do we have to check on the wolverine access to find out if we get in? I applied end of Dec and I am starting to get really anxious!

Mine is on WA approx. 15 hours before an email is sent to me. Some, though, got it in the reversed order. I just happened to be staying up late and checking WA when the decision popped out…

Good luck to you guys!!

@Leighhopeful sorry for the late answer!! Mich is my second top choice, so if I didn’t get into my top one, I’m going to Mich!!

2120 here, in-state, no decision

Oos 2100+ no decision.
Still checking

2220, no decision.

I guess we have enough proof that that isn’t the pattern :P.

I’m sticking with the (to date unrebutted) third letter in middle name theory.

^ I second this. Y’all should stop looking for a pattern, there isn’t one.

coquimom, congrats on the acceptance!

And so sorry about the loss of the dad. That sucks.

Messaged support and they said that the only reason they released decisions Friday was because they had completed enough application reviews to send out a batch of decisions, and that there was no pattern or hidden meaning behind it. The woman also said that there was no forseeable additional release before the first week of April.

Ask for yourself.

OMG. Worst. News. Ever.

@JRswish: What Happened?

No decisions this friday. :‘(
Or any friday… til April :’(

I don’t really believe a word of what Chat says. I’ve seen all sorts of answers that contradict one another. I think they’re given a standard party line response. Maybe it’s accurate this time but there’s a chance it’s not!

yes but all their earlier messages were somewhere in the middle. this one says outright that they arent sendin anything b4 april

Look at it this way. With 50K applicants, what are they supposed to say? They actually are trying to do us a favor. Would it be better if they said 2327 decisions will be released this Friday and then 4742 the next, and so on? The waiting is very tough, but pretty soon all of you will have a bigger (and hopefully) better problem, which will be making an ultimate decision in less than a month’s time.

They said outright “April April April” before this weekend as well. I agree with VillageMom, the chat people have been given standard, conservative responses to give as it’s better to overestimate the amount of time it will take to receive a response rather than underestimate. Even if they’re planning a release this week, next week, two weeks from now, it behooves them to say “not until April” so as to not obligate themselves to meet a deadline.

We’ll see what happens. Either way we’ll all know eventually. And JRswish, I saw absolutely no chat transcripts that indicated a definite non April release date besides mine- which was asked pointedly after the fact.

Frankly, I don’t believe that it’ll be until April that we’ll have to wait. They might say that to give a conservative (VERY conservative) guess, but I’m sure within the next 2 or 3 weeks we’ll hear again, and then at least once more in April.
