No decision yet, no e-mail, no nothing…when I check Wolverine Access two different applications show up with two different dates and application numbers.

For example:

Application Term: FA 2013
Academic Career: Undergraduate L S & A
Academic Program: Lit, Science & Arts UG Degree
Application Nbr: 01221087
Application Date: 03/26/2013

&

Application Term: FA 2013
Academic Career: Undergraduate L S & A
Academic Program: Lit, Science & Arts UG Degree
Application Nbr: 01214556
Application Date: 02/03/2013

Is this normal? I applied before the 02/01/2013 deadline so what could be going on here? Please help me because I am freaking out that they messed up my application and put me on rolling admissions or something!!!

soup, I think you should only have one application Nbr, I would call and let them know. My daughter still has no decision I believe everybody will know this week.

Dantone, thanks for the reply. I will call first thing Monday, but I must say this is really making me nervous…I hope that this will not jeopardize my application in any way.

Still no decision yet…Nothing on my “application status” page.
Does it mean that I’m very unlikely to be accepted now !?
U-Mich is my last hope, I wanna cry.

@wuantonsoup Gosh…Hope it’s their problem and you’ll fine…

101Monet thanks for the kind words. The anxiety is killing me though…can’t wait to call first thing in the morning and find out what’s going on and hopefully my status.

Update

They had grouped me with the transfer applicants because of my gap year…even though I had filled out the freshman application on the CA. I have two application #'s because they switched my application to a freshman one not too long ago. If anyone is in this position as well I hope this helped. Anyways decisions for those that haven’t received them yet should definitely be out within the first two weeks of April.

haven’t gotten mine yet, either. I just called and they said it’s still being evaluated, and that all decisions should be received within the first two weeks of april, like wuanton says above…from what i’ve read, not optimistic though, it sound as though if we haven’t heard by now we’re not going to be accepted…

U Mich admissions is almost a joke.
People need to know what there admission decision is.

I called the admissions office today to check about my son.
The lady said the emails sent out last week.

I gave her Michigan applicant ID. She looked and said - “oh, it does not have any status”.
I said - “that’s right” ;)

The lady had no clue. She then gave me email and phone number of West Coast Recruiter from UMich. Wow - admissions office does not know? ;)

We sent email to this west coast recruiter (we are from CA) and she responded - “they are still processing apps and will be notifying during first 2 weeks of April”.

Oh well - it tells a lot about the school.
My son has been accepted to UC Berkeley (Regents), Northwestern, Cornell, CMU and Urbana so at this point we are just going to ignore this.

But honestly, we paid application fees and did a lot of efforts on the app.
We deserve to know the decision!! LOL ;)

Anyways, all the best to everyone!!!

happiertoarise I sincerely hope that is not the case…I would like to think that they just have a lot of applicants to review. Some applicants have to be the last ones reviewed right?

@wuantonsoup

I really do hope so as well…yes, it seems logical to me that some people just simply have to be the last reviewed, without any other subtext. It’s just that reading some of the previous posts on this thread made me start to worry that it could be more ominous that that -.- People claiming that a large percentage of the class has already been accepted from the earlier applicant pools, etc.

But then again, all anyone can do on here is make inferences/predictions, none of us are admissions officers at U-M so none of us can really know for sure, right? Many different people have said conflicting things and have indicated that there is really no rhyme or reason that can be made out of U-M’s admission strategy, it has been so erratic–some people who applied late have already gotten in, some (like me still haven’t heard), others who applied earlier haven’t heard yet, some with lower stats have already been accepted while others with higher ones have been wait listed, etc.

It’s out of our hands now, anyway. I just wish I knew…

Also, just FYI–I was on the UMich Admissions Facebook page earlier today, and someone posted a few hours ago that they’d just gotten their admissions email, as in, today…
Which is just making me more anxious.
Has anyone else heard today??

I completely agree…all we can do now is wait and stay optimistic. I just really wish they had a set decision date for all students like the other schools. Sometimes we put ourselves through a lot of unneeded stress searching for the answers on this board though.

Only the officials know our status, and if we haven’t been reviewed yet, we still have just as good of a chance of getting in as anyone else! So keep your head up happiertorise!

and just checked my e-mail again out of desperation, no luck. What a sham…but oh well! We’re still in the running! :D

Yes, exactly! sometimes i think CC is as unproductive as it is helpful and causes needless anxiety. Thanks for the rational perspective! Good luck to all :)

accepted to pref-admit at Ross!!!

@bluetomato Congrats! Did you just find out right now?

@wuantonsoup Yup! Applied on Jan 1, accepted to LSA in March, and pref-admit today @ 2:00 PST!

I’m feel bad already after seeing what you guys said. No email today as well.
But I’m thinking maybe it depends on the major you applied not only the time. So…does anyone applying for Architecture get accepted? ??

i applied undeclared to LSA/RC…
