University of Michigan details??

Hello!
I am a rising sophomore currently attending a UC school but I am thinking of applying to transfer to U of M. I would love to hear about current UofM students’ opinions on the school, pros & cons (academic or socially wise, anything! ), what is the environment like (welcoming, competitive, quiet, socially dead, etc.), things that you were surprised to find out once you started attending UofM, literallly anything :). Also, this might sound off but I am an asian female and grew up with a lot of asians so I was curious to see what the asian community is like in UofM, also interested in hearing about asian christian ministries on campus!
Thank you all

If you ask my CA kid, then UMich is the best place on Earth.

Academically, the equal of the best UC’s with fantastic CS, Engineering and Business schools, among a whole slew of other top STEM, arts, humanities, etc. programs). And you get the excitement of the football, basketball and hockey teams that compete for national championships. Tons of school spirit and one of the best college towns in the US.

Asians represent about 15% of the student population at UMich, so that’ll be quite different from the UC’s, which have much larger Asian student population.
